According to Reuters, TF is quoted as saying we could have easily sold 20,000 season tickets and the new stadium will be 40-45k. The architects, Populous, will also be designing the new training ground and Caterham's new HQ.

Supporting QPR isn't just about a football team. It's about roots and identity.

When you look at all modern stadiums in England I cannot think of one where the crowd are close to the pitch which is a shame. I am guessing this is down to building regulations????

If its not I hope that we instruct the designers to get the stands as close to the pitch as is allowed

Would like to think we're in good hands with this mob,as they've built some fantastic stadia all round the world.I'm sure TF and Amit would have given them a brief, then see what they come up with! The main thing we need to keep is the atmosphere,Tony knows that!! Can't wait for the announcement!
I came here to chew gum and kick ass,and I'm all outta gum!

They need to copy a european example, however, they won't if any such design is not suitable for other events also, such as concerts.

Be good to have a retractable roof for our rubbish winters and a retractable pitch so it doesn't get ruined by concerts or whatever. Also be good to have a statue of me outside with my willy poking out.....

im no architect but surely the problem is if you bring the stand close to the pitch you cant really use the corners - they build stadia more oval than rectangle shape these daysto give good views from all the way round the stadium.

Can't see that one passing the vote...

I'd settle for a scaled down Bernabeu

Agree best option to keep our amazing atmosphere is an old style stadium where all the noise bounces back inside unlike the emirates who have a beautiful stadium but the sound just goes up, think LR is the best in the division for noise when we are full and sure the reason why we won so many games at the end of the year
The future's Amit the futures not orange

Yep. Just like TF said, it is vital for us to keep our amazing atmosphere and I trust him that we can keep it.

What's the rules regarding retractable roof?

If it was p!ssing down can they close the roof? Not fussed personally as I like watching footy in the rain, always makes for a good spectacle but just wondered if theirs rules regarding such things.
