The stories that come out in the local press around Ipswich (of which this is one of them) about the incident were fabrication to blow the case out of the water. All complete exagerrations.

Trust me, no 70 year old men were battered to an inch of their life or anything like that.
were there kids in there? was there men who didn't want any trouble?

the bloke is 57 FFS. he should know better.

the courts don't deal with the press they deal with the evidence they have.

And your reading a press statement, not court evidence.

The press make a point of exaggerating every little thing to do with football related offences and if you believe the judges are not sucked in by it then your very naive

you are taking about the sentences given. a 57 year old man went looking for trouble. he got it a 6 year ban and a prison sentence. i bet he's not giving it the big man act now.

it doesn't matter what the newspapers say happend. the courts heard all the evidence. not rumour or press exageration.

              LOL

the london informer is not acceptable evidence in a court of law

lets face it. this isn't front page news. i doubt the judge moves in the sort of circles in which he would hear about the case before hand

Calls were made from some Ipswich lads to some Rangers lads directing them to the bar at Manningtree.the rangers lads went there, but it was a set-up-ipswich lads then informed the police and rangers lads got arrested.

I was on the train afterwards and a load of our fans piled off at Manning Tree looking for a further ruck. Defend it if you want but there was aggro that whole day and I can recall several incidents where the behaviour of our supporters was unacceptable.

Middle aged men fighting at football matches should know better, the sentances may seem stiff but how many times have these individuals done this sort of thing and got away with it.

I never understand it why some people insist on defending these individuals, their actions were wrong and they have tarnished the name of our club.
