Gotta sneaky feeling it could be both. Certainly think it'll be the Asian player (presumabley Ji Sung Park) due to the "putting the brand on the world stage" comment, but the fact they're giving it away from LR tells me its not just a player announcement.

Potentially, a huge huge day for QPR this coming Monday !

They're not going to have Tony, Amit and Phil there all to welcome Park Ji Sung. Nor would they be so cynical as to announce a player (a United reserve at that) as a massive global branding coup...

The stadium being a new multi use arena in London qualifies as massive global branding, particularly since they'll want to attract attention for a lucrative naming rights sponsor.

And it's not going to be both because why release two bits of good news on one day and fudge the impact for both?

Park Ji Sung would really not be such a big deal anyway. People abroad aren't just going to roll up and switch their loyalty and money from United to QPR just because of one player, the marketing effect works hand in hand.

Besides, billions of people around the world already know who we are after City away.

Maybe if we signed someone like Keisuke Honda (world class Japanese fella) then we'd be talking about a big splash to some extent.
