I think he will put many eggs in the Samba basket.... if it fails he'll have a back up option, but think he wants Samba.

Totally disagree with the original poster - I think we still need a number of players. We are really short in the central midfield area - Barton, of course, is out for a large part of the campaign and I'm not convinced he will remain at the club for much longer anyway. Faurlin was fantastic but I'm concerned that he will not be the same player after sustaining such a serious injury. Diakite is class but missed several games through suspension and injury. Derry is too old. We also need a defender, plus I'd like to see us sign a younger striker to challenge Cisse, Zamora and Johnson, all of whom are reaching the end of their careers.
