Dont get me wrong there are many a day in our history I would love to have changed the outcome of, but in all honesty I wouldnt change where we currently are today for anything. Therefore, taking into account the old Butterfly Effect n all that, I wouldnt change a single event in our history as I wouldnt want to be anywhere else but the position we are currently in

We would have won at Norwich in the year we finished runners up to Liverpool

I was only a two year old, but winning at Norwich away or in my supporting time reversing that 3-0 humiliation against Oxford in 1986. At least we lost the '82 cup final to a very good side with dignity intact.

Otherwise there's a lot:

- Beating AEK Athens on penalties
- Only losing 3-0 in Belgrade
- Losing Gerry Francis to Spurs
- Signing Hateley
- Cantona not scoring that last minute equaliser in 96
- Appointing Ray Harford
- Williams squaring it to Furlong

...and so on

But like the poster said, couldn;t have dreamed we;d be where we are today a five years ago. Didn't know if I;d have a club to support, we could be where Luton are now, so despite all the sh*t I wouldn't want to meddle in the past as I'm overjoyed with the present.

If there's one day that could be changed in the club's history maybe the best thing is being able to have prevented what happened to Macca on Saturday. Football matters, but not as much as some other things.

Vaxuhall Motors definitely our lowest point. Rubbed in with a 4-0 home defeat to Cardiff a few days later for good measure. Thought Shepherds Bush was going to get torched that night.

for me cos of my age etc and 75 before me a tad, the milk cup final v oxford
if we'd won that , guinness were gonna give us the biggest sponsor deal in football, at the time..if i recall right and we'd have been very secure.
we weren't expected to win the fa cup in 82, losing hurt but that milk cup loss was far worse..sodding oxford and sodding jim smith!

Think we covered ourselves in glory in that replay, i would change the Milk Cup defeat against Oxford utd 87, that was such a shite performance and we should have won another big trophy.

Norwich away in 1976 is quite obviously the most mordern day answer, win there and we would have won the Championship.

But way back when, and I will stand to be corrected, but did we not loose a vote against Spurs, they went into the Football League, and we ended up in the Southern league, the rest, as they say is history.
