Huge difference between decent young players on 4 year contracts and Fitz Hall and Patrick Agyemang and Rowan Vine on 4 year contracts.

It's a risk, but also insurance against him having a storming season and one of the big teams coming in for him at a silly price. He had definitely been noticed by other teams after his down and up start on loan, so this is a shrewd move.
