It says that he is not going on the Asian tour. Do they get paid for this tour.

I am happy with the outcome of this, especially with this part: ''The Club has also reached agreement with Barton that if he seriously breaches the Club's disciplinary procedures again, the Club reserves the right to terminate his contract.'' Sensible business from the club.

Win-win for the club imo. We have given him another chance, and he might just take it. And if not, next time we really can sack him. Sensible middle course decision imo.Originally posted by DeepcutHoop View PostThey have previous on clubs attempting huge fines, but as Joey seems to have accepted it, it may stand. We'll see.
I'm gutted he won't be leaving, and fervently hope he applies himself while he's out, and becomes worthy of his wages at some point during his QPR career.
However, I expect to be disappointed by him again.

I have this nagging suspicion that he won't play another game for us. Not that I would shed a tear.Banning people is no longer my hobby,
but take a look at my photo blog:

How and why did I start supporting QPR in Estonia:

The simple fact he is not going on pre season tour with the rest of the squad would suggest that the club don't really care if he is fit or not, part of the team or not and hope he will sort something out elsewhere.Originally posted by Kirill View PostI have this nagging suspicion that he won't play another game for us. Might have something to do with this:Originally posted by paulmason View PostThe simple fact he is not going on pre season tour with the rest of the squad would suggest that the club don't really care if he is fit or not, part of the team or not and hope he will sort something out elsewhere.

I think you have jumped to a few conclusions there Paul. Joey is not going to be available for the first 3 months of the season and is in the process of being disciplined. As such it makes sense to exclude him from the pre-season tour, I'm sure Hughes would rather test out the players he can select in August than give Barton a run out.Originally posted by paulmason View PostThe simple fact he is not going on pre season tour with the rest of the squad would suggest that the club don't really care if he is fit or not, part of the team or not and hope he will sort something out elsewhere.
I think the statement from the club today is pretty clear. Joey has been disciplined, he has apologised for his actions and he will be given another chance to prove himself.

good post , some on here think he should be sacked absolute rubbish , didnt both argies get straight up and continue to play . kompany then came over and did nothing the mug but how mario [i stamped on scott parkers head ] balotelli had the front to say anything is beyond me . barton has his punishment now he needs our support as long as he wears our colours. everyone deserves a 2nd chanceOriginally posted by Del View PostHave always said i don't for one second think they will sack him.
Not only becasue it would cost millions, and we'd lose a very decent player, but whatever he's done in the past working for other clubs / companies can't be taken into account with regards to any employment disciplinary situation with QPR, it's irrelevant.
Add to that the incident at City, however, bad it was, was his first issue since being with us all season.. not really what you'd expect from such a "bad boy". Yes he lost it, yes he'll be disciplined, yes i expect he'll lose the captaincy for sure. It will be a slap on the wrist and warning as to future conduct when representing the club. End of.
