I think he was a decent appointment. I have always liked the way he conducts himself in interviews. One of the only managers that doesn't blame everyone else for a bad result. Shame the press won't give anyone that isn't Harry Redknapp a chance.Comment

Incredibly dull man....super 'safe' appointment by the FA......when he is inevitably fired by England I could easily see him sitting on the FA selection panel...Comment

Ramsey was dull but I seem to recall we enjoyed a spot of success under his stewardship.
I'll take dull if for the first time for years England look organised and generally sorted. I'll take dull if it mean more straight talking which we're actually getting from all concerned right now. I'll take dull if it means the players are happier and more relaxed and the fans have a less ludicrous set of expectations. Dull will do me just fine.Comment
