No, that's Fraser Forster, who we'd also been linked with.

Foster is my first choice, so if we get him I'd be delighted. Outside of Hart probably the best GK in the Premier League last season.

Although Green is a good keeper he always looks like he's about to drop a clanger !!

For me Foster or Given ...Would be well happy with either

EDIT : My response referred to Rebel R's post !!

A good keeper is worth a lot more than 5 points in a season. Foster is miles better than Greene.

Foster is my number 1 choice. A great keeper & 5million is about right.

Green isn't free as such because it will be massive wages & I don't rate him that much
        Under Les Ferdinand:
Luke Freeman, top assists in the league: 4million
Alex Smithies, great goalie for this club: 3,5million
Charlie Austin, 19 Premier League goals: 4million
Jack Robinson: Contract ran out, left for free
        And many more mistakes

LES FERDINAND, IT'S TIME TO GO

Have heard this one for a while and would be very happy with it. Kenny can often pull off great saves but he is too short to be a good enough Prem keeper in the long term imo. Foster definite upgrade

First and foremost it has to be Ben Foster. He has been so impressive this season. It is imperative over the summer that we convince Birmingham City to turn his loan into a permanent deal. Foster is an excellent shot-stopper and some of his saves this season have been crucial to us winning games – for example his point blank double save against Blackburn undoubtedly turned the game in our favour. He must easily have earned us 12 points this season. Furthermore, his distribution is superb, especially compared to the dross served up by Carson and Kiely in previous seasons. Foster always looks for the early option, and his throwing and/or kicking is almost always spot-on. I would be very surprised if he doesn’t win player of the year.
That's a pretty impressive report from your own fans.

Yeah, but did he win WBA PotY ?

Imagine getting him, keeping Paddy & offloading Murphy ?

foster, Kenny, Cerny - Not bad eh ? Trani would learn from them.

5m for Ben Foster would be a great piece of business. 2nd only to Joe Hart he is the best English goalkeeper and at 29 he has his best years ahead of him. He is also 3 years younger than Rob Green and less likely to drop a clanger.

I really hope this rumour is true!

IF he's 2nd best to Hart (and I'm not saying he isn't)

Why is he not in Poland right now ?
Why is Green and his own No 2 or 3 at Birmingham ?

                                Just asking like.
