I dont understand why people presume we wont spend any money because we are looking at loan signings or frees! Not every player needs to cost 4 - 10 million pounds. Its about building a future and a stable club full of options. We need fringe players just as much as first team players to keep everyone competitive.
Some of these players we might sign like bentley and johnson make good footballing and business sense. You mix them in with a 3 or 4 bought players and our squad will be alot stronger and very competitive.
Remember Hughes knows these players and in paticular Bentley was sensational under hughes at blackburn and some players excell under different regimes - what if hughes can get him back to his form 3 years ago what a player we will have on our hands and if the worst happens and he is crap like everyone is expecting, well we send him back to the jews!!!

Tbh Bently is one of these over played, potential that never happened. Would rather Armard on Left Wing then Bentley, spend last season on the bench at west ham eating mars bars. These potential signings aint feeling me with joy AJ and Bentley :/

I haven't got a clue how much we are spending this summer, but I don't believe Hughes would be here if he was told that in his first pre season he would have to be looking at free transfers and loans. If this is true then I guess he must want him.

Think we all accept we need a squad, not all going to be stars. But we already have two right wingers in SWP and Mackie. Both have their moments/ strengths but both also have their drawbacks. Think if you are bringing someone in for that position you wd hope it wd be a better player, that is all.

Re your last sentence - gentle reminder that "Jews" is not an acceptable way to describe Spurs on a message board.

Think we will sign a lot of ex-Hughes players... Bentley was class for Blackburn under Hughes and due to his lack of football over the last few seasons and injury problems a loan move seems a clever deal

Hughes is obviously buying a squad, not just a first 11. Bentley would be a decent addition if he can knuckle down and stay injury free.

I'll cheer on whoever he buys and fully accept he's forgotten more about football than I'll ever know about it, BUT got to be honest and I wd like us to be signing the next David Bentley or Andy Johnson which with Rigg on board I think we cd find rather than players who haven't quite lived up to expectations. That said, maybe Hughes reckons he can get them back to their best and we cd be drooling about both. Who knows?

Its a 25 man squad and with that in mind id take him,would be better option than Buzsaky when fit,and if he got his head out of his #### could be a very good player.
