Ukrainians sided with Hitler in WWII. The local militias gladly carried out most of the elimination of the Jewish population.

There was also some pretty brutal tit for tat ethnic cleansing of Poles and Ukranians in their respective territories in the years after WWII where tens of thousands died, often whole villages razed and all occupants massacred. Not a pleasant or clearly reformed lot. Another good decision by UEFA.

Didn't watch it but I go to Poland a fair bit. It is pretty bad out there but not to the level of DONT GO THERE IF YOU AREN'T WHITE! type scenario. Germany was meant to be bad because of the Poles and it wasn't. The polish police are basically hooligans but legal ones and they will be looking forward to quelling any violence with ultra violence. I have been slapped more times in poland than in england but think that's just pure bad luck. Don't look for a fight and you will more than likely be fine.

Another sh*t propaganda from an english TV channel! Why only england complains from being racially abused on their matches. Why don`t the other countries complain - Wales, Germany, Italy and any other having black players?! Simply because there isn`t such! Just another cheap propaganda/mass manipulation in here. The worse thing is that many people believe it (horses with blinds as many as you want in England).
...Different people - different choices. If you want to believe the ukrainian are worse nation than us - ok, do so, but don`t accept yourselves as judges of the world, something which is very typical for the americans :D
Just go to Poland and Ukraine and enjoy the Euro2012 ! It will be very interesting to see how many would go to watch a... let say a friendly game pakistan-england in Islamabad or Karachi!? :D :D :D

S.africa they said there would be issues and there weren't. I am sure it will be fine. Although personally I really don't Poland. I love my family and the history etc. But, Poland needs to sort its fanatical Catholicism out.

sensationalist maybe but propaganda it is not, it was there to see clear as day that black players were being abused in the countries in question. i very much doubt a camera man and a british reporter managed to get hoards of numpties to do hitler salutes, monkey chant or beat up asian students. For you to refute these claims suggests that you are in fact the blinkered horse. This isnt the first time the british press (slightly hypocritically) have raised the issue of racism in sport on the continent, england v spain springs to mind, croatian fans forming a swastika on the terraces, spanish formula 1 fans blacking up and abusing lewis hamilton, russian skin heads hunting down georgians on public transport etc.

I do not know where it is youre from, but if you feel offended by what youve seen today thats good in my opinion. I reckon anyone that has an ounce of intelligence and watched panorama knows that the majority ukranians and poles are not like the plonkers that were parading around on bbc2 tonight.

on a seperate note there was an element of scare mongering about the world cup in south africa (not without good reason mind), i know from relatives there that robberies and kidnappings did occur but not to the extent it was expected.
