    QPR join United in race to sign Birmingham's teenage keeper Butland

    QPR are planning a £6million bid for England Under 21 goalkeeper Jack Butland which could lead to current No 1 Paddy Kenny joining Leeds.

      How many keepers is that now we're supposed to be signing? Given, Butland, Foster, Robinson, Hennesey...

              Player negotiations are not sequential, they are like snail races. You are betting on a number of players hoping that you get your favourite over the line before someone else does. When you dont you are still in the race for your second favourite snail or is that player. And boy have we signed a few snails in the past.

                              That's really gutting for Ruddy though, he more than likely won't get another shot at a major tournament.
