Thank you -- but I believe although that's the formal date, transfers are allowed to take place as soon as the last competitive game of the season is finished.

Imo there will be more players leaving when window opens ie Connolly Smith and others wich wijj require a fee

Sparky has said he won't sell anyone until he gets some new faces in. Doesn't want to leave the squad too thin. So I wouldn't expect any more departures for awhile.

I don't think transfers can take place after the last game.

Teams can sign initial agreements but the paperwork can only be submitted and filed once the window opens. An example of this is Arsenal agreeing to sign Podolski. Terms have been offered and accepted so its a done deal but the paperwork has not yet been submitted and filed so its not 'official'. Hope that makes sense
