Can't see this happening myself (transfer listed).
What benefit to the club is that?
1) No one comes in for him & we still pay him a fortune
2) Player feels he's been abandoned by club so hardly able to call upon him if needed.
3) Will still be a QPR player, who is unwanted & club have not sacked him (if they are able to)
What do the club do if / when no one comes in? Say 'oh ok just come back and play then, or sit in the reserves picking up millions'
No chance. Can only see one of two things, club will either back him or sack him.
Just my opinion.Comment

I agree.
No benefit in such an act at this time. Finish the investigation and then deal with it in house. He is still a good player and we shouldn't be looking to get rid of our better players as we don't have the luxury of a huge squad.Comment

i guess they strip his captaincy and give him maximun fine and that's it. He'll stay because nobody wants him and it would be crazy to sack him and pay 10 million just get rid of himComment

With his lengthy potential ban and obviously stripped of the captaincy, two months sat in the reserves might be just what he needs to sort himself out - he's supposed to be a big thinker isn't he
He'll be a handy player to give Faurlin or Diakite a rest, or we could maybe play him in cup games to save Derry's legs

As long as we don't sack him, he's a good player. If we can get £0 transfer fee then that's good.
Sacking is something like 8million+ which isnt worth it because he's good, even if it is on the benchUnder Les Ferdinand:
Luke Freeman, top assists in the league: 4million
Alex Smithies, great goalie for this club: 3,5million
Charlie Austin, 19 Premier League goals: 4million
Jack Robinson: Contract ran out, left for free
And many more mistakes
LES FERDINAND, IT'S TIME TO GOComment
