Would be nice to see it like this, but you're right Hughes will probably go with 4-4-2 or 4-5-1 and probably bench Traore.

I like both your formations Nik. If Diakité's out then this is a good bet but I'm not sure Hughes will go so attacking. We can only hope

Got it spot on for me Nik.

Getting balls through and in & around the Stoke back 4 is essential. Sluggish defenders, need to use our pace in and around the box.

Need Diakité fit. Key part of our team. Pulis said they were leggy so fast football with people running at them would tire them out.

I agree that if Diakite is unavailable, then Traore must replace him. He's quick, can win a ball, defends well and good going forward to cross the ball. Not sure about Zamora, as I would prefer we play with one striker, and that will be Cisse. We must stop Stoke to put balls in out box were they are most dengerous. And the most important thing for who ever plays......they must nerver give up and work hard all game. Its useless suggesting who plays if they do not give 110% effort! Come on you R's.

if diakite not fit, be amazed if derry doesnt get the nod. a midfield of mackie, barton and traore doesn't have enough bite for mark hughes imo.

Not a chance - that team would get destroyed in the middle of the park.

Playing one central midfielder against a team like Stoke.. reallyyy?

Yeah that's true..we do need a solid midfield. Derry could come in then? People on here don't really rate him, but I think he gets the job done quite well! Tackling and passing is usually good for him. We could line up like this then?

                    Hughes will stick with 4-5-1

                      4-5-1.
                      Kenny
                      Ounoha Hill Ferinand Taiwo

                      Derry

                      Mackie Diakete Barton Taarabt

                      Cisse

Zamora's been poor of late, should be on the bench.
12 games, 2 goals and no assists is not good enough
