              He came across relatively well.

Paxman introduced him as QPR captain with a 1.4m followers on twitter who has two convictions for violence
but apart from that Paxman went easy on him.

              JB simply talked about
              - RH being a good choice with his extensive experience
              - England should be a touring side that goes around the country but
understands why we play at wembley due to the cost of building it.
              - a lot of money in the game.
              - RH should use Euros to bed in young players similar to what the Germans did in Portugal.
              - said happy to have an Englishman as manager of national team.
              - thought England team was seen as having a southern bias and remote from the north of England that's why he thinks they should tour.
              - said if we stay up everyone's free to go over to Brighton's for tea.

Comes across slightly nervous as expected and I get the impression that he knows a lot about very little. But saying that he is engaging and can hold a conversation, thought old Paxman was impressed with how it went. Good on Joey for attending.

Ended it by asking Joey whether he would like to be part of the new England setup, JB responded that he had more pressing issues and was completely focused on our survival

Why can't he use Pounds sterling? Or is that the currency used in bribes at the mo.

Brighton's going to have to get some extra chairs in from the neighbours...

On the day Roy Hodgson was appointed England's new manager, BBC's Newsnight sought the considered views of QPR captain, Twitter addict and one-cap England international Joey Barton. Barton told Jeremy Paxman that it was a shrewd decision by the FA.
Soldier: "im on reconnaissance sir.. im looking for our camouflage expert.. have you seen him?"
                    Lovejoy: "No?!"
Soldier: "GOD DAMNIT THAT GUYS GOOD!"

I agree with him about Roy being a good choice. Did he also mention that if we go down we are also going to Brighton's for a pre game drink next season?

didnt really see the point in paxman mentioning his convictions, hardly relevant to what was being discussed. What bearing does that have on his opinion? And if it does why have him the programme in the first place. Paxman always seems to feel the need to show people hes intellectually superior to them, and that he is in fact an all round better human being than them. Smug and pompous.
