So Chaps Our Season Rests On Chelsea...

Who would had thought it? and it couldn't had been written any other way.

I'll tell it to you straight, forget Man City we can't get anything there as I have a feeling they willl need to beat us to win the title - so forget that one.

As we now know we need 6 pts, we have a lovely home game in hand so thats a positive but our season now rests on getting 3 pts tomorrow. Even though a draw will be a good result it certainly won't be enough to keep us up as I can see Bolton winning games. So 3 pts tomorrow is a must anything less and we are doomed.

And thats not me being cut throat in this thread but a fact.

Lets beat Chelsea tomorrow and give ourselves a reason as to why we should be staying in this league, Wigan nearly beat them and were unlucky, we certainly can beat them.

a draw tomorrow and a win against stoke will probably be enough IMO.

However you have to say the only positive we can take out of todays results
is that the players now know we HAVE to get points. if results had gone our way today,
we could've gone into that game thinking if we lose, it doesn't really change much.

Typically knowing us we will win tomorrow, lose at home to stoke and have to win at the Ethiad on the final day.

That's definitely not our way of doing things, don't count on it.

I certainly don't see it that way, a point tomorrow would mean Bolton have to beat Spurs to get above us and hopefully Spurs will be revitalised by todays scores for Arsenal and the Geordies. I still believe 4 points will keep us up. Point for Bolton will only count for them if we get beaten tomorrow, which means a point v Spurs will take them above us.

We can't depend on other sides.

Take Wigan today, everyone on this board said Newcastle will easily beat them as they want 4th spot.... and look at the result, a 4-0 win to Wigan.

Teams around us are picking up points and I have a feeling Bolton will win 2 games.

                    We need 6pts.

Would be typical of Rangers beating Chelsea only to blow it by drawing 1-1 with Stoke.

I think it's highly possible and not beyond the realms of possiblity that bolton could easily only pick up 1 more point

Personally, I think if we dont beat the **** tomorrow we are in big big trouble. we will not beat man city and stoke is no walk in the park, home game or not.
                              im not optimistic.
