    Beware of those cliches

    Number 1.
'Villa are so poor, they won't pick up another point'
Yes they will, anyone staking our survival on that is on very shaky ground indeed, plus I'd take their run-in over ours in a heartbeat.

    Number 2.
'Bolton are so poor, and they are decimated by injuries; gone'.
Whatever assessment we make of their strength and squad, one thing is clear; they are picking up points at an alarming rate, and are lucky, so they are getting results in games they have no right to get anything out of.

By all means, big up our chances, but don't do it at the expense of common sense and reality. I do think we will survive, JUST, but were going to have to dig very deep and we will get no favours from anybody.

I thought Villa and Bolton looked poor last night, the home fans hate Mcleish so there home games wont be easy..
Bolton's game in hand is Spurs at home, we just turned over Spurs so why cant they?
Stoke at home for us, very difficult game. The last 4 teams at home have all played in front of us, and we have been able to sit back and hit on the brake. Stoke WILL NOT play that way, they will lump the ball forward quickly and get in and around us, so we cant just sit back and defend against them.

I think some of our fans do need to be a little less.......what's the word?...."convinced?" we will get 3 pts v stoke, this has banana skin written all over it imo.
When we've gone up against the big boys at home, we've had an attitude of we're gonna upset you bast*rds about us, and that is what we need from players and fans alike, cause when we played wba we all thought we'd win, and although beaten by a worldly and unlucky not to get something, bottom line we lost.

I wish everyone would stop making predictions... Villa could win all 3, Villa could just as easily loose all 3 or draw all 3.

What our recent home run and Wigan's results against Arsenal and Utd shows is that there is no form guide, no pattern to results and certainly no way to call games involving us, Wigan, Villa, Blackburn and Bolton.

Most people on here though Villa would win last night. There is no point in predicting results and then thinking the world will end when they don't come in.

The single most important thing in all this is us- we can decide if we stay up or not and not have to worry about any of the tother teams.

That's what I was trying to say, but you were hiding the one true copy from me. Exactly this!

i reckon we will only pick up 1 more point-a draw against stoke.

That point will be enough to see us stay up.
