    Manchester Hotels for City away

Fancy going up the night before the game and hitting the town - anyone know of any decent/cheap places to stay near the City Centre?

Village hotels are ok I often use the mercure used to be the raddison, avoid the Brittannia at all costs. The travel lodge is really poor but they have a few premier inns close by that are ok for a night

We're in the Holiday Inn on the Oldham Rod, but it's not really city centre.
Last weekend, Josie and I stayed at the Belforte House hotel in Sale, right near a Metro stop, so good for town centre.
Cost us £55 for bed and breakfast for 2.
Beds a bit on the soft side for me, but I never sleep well away from home anyway.
