But I think the FA did us a favour upholding Derry's ban. As much as I like the bloke and he gives everything for the team, he's not a PL player and I think a lot of the game passes him by nowadays.

Great performance tonight - well done to Hughes and the team.

Barton, Buszacky, Diakite were superb in midfield.

Not a Premier League player? Derry's had loads of fantastic games for us this season.
We're Queens Park Rangers and we always do things the hard way!

In the last few matches he has shown he deserves to start

i dont know if he would have got in the team tonite, he is well past his best . i am first to say hes had some good games but he is to old now, but he always gives his all , his late tackle on cabaye at newcastle backs this up

I agree to a point. He is not a PL player, but has excelled in recent matches to earn his place. However, I agree that the ban worked for us because if he was available I'm sure hed have played the Arsenal starting line up, but as banned we could play Buz who gives us so much more going forward as he showed. He had a great game capped with a wonder goal.

The 3 that played last night are all technically miles better than Dezza. Hope we stick with them for Saturday. I agree with OP, blessing in disguise.

I think his unjust ban helped the team to assume the right fighting mentality. Unlike Cisse's rather deserved sendings-off.

He's a top pro but Diakite, Buszacky & Barton make a nice little unit imo.

Hope Hughes sticks with that for West Brom - none of them deserve to lose their place.

Buz doesn't tackle like Derry and he gives the ball away to much for me.. On the flip side he's still a good player to have.

Agree Buzz still worries me because he gives the ball away so easily. Its a myth that he is a great passer of the ball his strength is set pieces and shots like last night.

He offers goals I suppose but at what price??? Swanseas midfield had no bite to it.. West brom will have some battlers

If Faurlin hadn't got injured we'd be safe by now I reckon.

Yeah and we'd be whining incessantly about the team not challenging for a European spot
