Is defiantly our midfield three. Diakite, Derry and Barton will need to keep their shape, especially against Man Utd where they will have to close down and constantly pressure their midfield which is likely to be Carrick and Scholes. As 'Rich' stated in another thread someone will have to man mark him because he always manages to drift into space and his passing his top notch.

I feel that if our midfield play their part well, we can win this as i have enough faith in our defense and Bobby. It is massive relieve that Taiwo is up against Valencia and if he has a good a game as against Arsenal then Valencia's threat hopefully should be stopped.

Very true, Hill will have to maybe cover, but watch space that he makes by coming across as Man U are experts at exposing space in those areas!

Who ever is on the wings for us (Mackie or SWP) will have to do a massive amount of work, I honestly believe we can match Utd in the middle of the park its just the wings and Rooney dropping back that we have to stop.

Yeah play on the break i thought like sat, but let them mess about in their half with it, we actually looked good defensively saturday, other than when RVP slipped through 1 on 1 2nd half
