          I find all that tactic lark rather dull. I just want 3 points, booze, class a's and the chance to abuse some inferiors! In fact football normally gets little to no attention on the day! Well done Hughes all the same!

            Interesting his conclusion (maybe just a suggestion) that the team is better off and more balanced without Cisse. Obviously hugely counterintuitive given Cisse on his own has been pretty effective but does make sense to an extent considering Mackie, Taarabt, Derry all excelled last season in a 4-2-3-1 with Helguson by himself up top.

            Is 4-4-2 the best use of our squad as a whole? Is it too easy to play against?

              I think our formation has largely been dictated by having lots of strikers and not many CM's. Now that it seems Derry, Diakite and Barton can get it done together I think that might change but if any one of them goes down we will again be forced into 4-4-2.
