He showed today that it does mean something to him and that is what I have questioned him on since arriving did he care enough. He seemed to appreciate the one Joey Barton from the fans before the game and looked pumped at the end.

I might get shot for this but I like him you cant knock his honesty and his programme notes made some decent points about fans getting on the players backs when there having a rough time

thats the thing, the vast majority of us who've had ago at Barton really do want him to succeed at the club and be the captain we need.

Thankfully Joey is the kind of character not to hide, others who received the treatment he has lately would be finished for this season and off in the summer!

Hopefully every man and his dog backs the players 100% for the next 7 games, no matter if they have a stinker or not, encouragement is the way for the remainder of the season, look what the atmosphere has achieved in our last two home games! LR is very hostile when bouncing and no other ground in the league is like it and players aren't used to it, we need to capitalise on this! No clowns throwing coins though please!
