Yeah, on a suspected £80,000 a week for the last eight months, Joey Barton now faces being a penniless hobo once the season has finished, I don't think.

Not quite the same as what I will be facing before too long, Joey old son.
Penury without a job, after almost a lifetime of penury whilst in employment.

You don't know you're born, Joey.

For a man who likes to think he is in touch with the fans and the public, comments like that prove he's not.

None of them will loose their livelihoods after relegation, they'll just move to some other unfortunate club and suck wages out of that too.

I know these sorts of comments from our official site gets under the skins of fans but if they were to say things like 'We're doomed', it's all too late', 'We are rubbish', everyone would start moaning that the players and staff aren't positive and why are they with us. Well thats my take on it.

All clubs web sites are full of this sort of nonsense. We as fans can see through the botox. I just hope the team puts in a real fighting gutsy performance against the Gooners.

Lets be honest, he couldve given an interview about VAT being added to warm baked good and someone wouldve started a thread on here lambasting him for it.

I remember the day when footballers did their talking on the pitch

When he joined us he was going on about playing for England

What has been clear this year is how limited a footballer he is, we must be the only football team that has a water carrier that constantly leaks.

In a situation we are in now I would prefer them just keeping quiet in the media and doing the talking on the pitch.
Banning people is no longer my hobby,
but take a look at my photo blog:
