    This is like the plague....

    A slow and painful death.

How soon before our misery is over?

I would imagine the players are aiming for it to happen at Chelsea. One final kick in the teeth before exploring their financial opportunities for next season.

It will go down to the final game of the season, and we will stay up on goal difference.

Do you know, at the moment I wouldn't like to say whether we are dead and buried or not...football is such a strange thing.
I generally feel pessimistic, but a little voice keeps telling me "you never know..."

About 5 games on the trot now ive said "I think I can finally admit were down now" but then, come the next game, theres a small inkling we could do it and i kind of put back that admittance of relegation to the next game

Until were mathematically down, I think I will always hold a shred of hope although, deep down, I think I have succombed to the fact we will, more than likely, be in the Championship next year.

If we somehow did stay up, though, would be 1 helluva survival eh
You should never underestimate the predictability of stupidity.

                    That's the spirit.....

Luckily the clubs that are down there with us are having equally horrible seasons...

I would like to think that's true and unlike some people I think we are not down until mathematical but fear goal diff won't be important if we don't pick up enough points as others are beginning to.

In my head I know we are down but as someone has already said "you just never know until it's finally over". It won't be the end of the world if we go down as we will have a decent squad for the Championship....no Cisse, Diakite or Taiwo...can't see Cisse playing in the Championship and maybe Tarbs will go but I believe everyone else will stay and our squad minus the above will be good enough to compete, with some additions.

AS it stands now i know only too well what is most likely, however need to retain some glimmer of faint hope, and let;s face it if we do get out of it now it will be amazing.

Also i cling to the hope our players may at some point remember they are professional footballers and remember how to pass and tackle, you know, like we all learnt at school...

Also run ins are about tryiung to gather a bit of momentum, and even though we have a shocking run, we do have 3 (on paper) winnable games in a row with West brom, Swansea and Stoke. If we could win the first, and take that into the next who knows. Even if we don't win them we could pick up some points, plus we will take points of some off the bigger teams, but no, it doesn't look good.

EDIT: just realised the Stoke game doesn't follw the others, but we need to win those first 2 to have a glimmer imo.
