Erm...isn't part of a manager's role to ensure that the back four defends properly? Shouldn't a manager be addressing discipline issues? Hughes has been useless IMO.
Yep - but he can't hold their hands for 90 minutes. Players beyond reproach then?

Would rather Ian Holloway back than Mick McCarthy, although Mick ain't the worse in the world
Dave to be very honest I was convinced when he was appointed we would stay up,now I'm convinced we won't.Holloway won't come back to us,why would he,Blackpool are doing well so he will stay there.I do hope Hughes stays but if he quits I'd like McCarthy

Hindsight I know, but when we appointed Hughes he obviously had a history as a slow starter at a new club.
Hence it Makes me wonder why Fernandes @ Co ended up with him as their first choice really?

Could be, but he recruited half of the back four and the fool who made the two footed lunge

Yeah fair points Rebel, you think Hughes would bring us back up? Just not convinced myself.

He did - the same fool who had 3 in 3 on Wednesday night and was the new messiah.

Again good point mate, but he has to be on the pitch to continue that "hero" status, and now he misses half of our remaining games, so at most he will play for us is 4 more, and that will be against Spurs,****sea, Man City, and the other, those bunch of softies Stoke, who'll kick the **** out of him

Look i know his scoring rate is 3 in 3 but in reality he is also going to miss 7 games through his own stupidity,so you could say 3 in 10

                          After match interview

Hughes has just said in interview that very disapointing and we played no-where near as well as we did on wed, tbh we were crap for 70+ mins on wed too weren't we?

True. We haven't played well for ages and Liverpool win was very similar to Chelsea win. Did hope that would have given us some confidence to pass and keep the ball, but not.
