Last chance to step it up

Blackburn have started to,leaving the 4 of us to fight it out.Bolton will no doubt do the same now for thier sick team mate,so we need to start tonight.Without doubt we have the best squad of the 5 teams involved (Blackburn still have a bit to go),but the players have failed to step up and be counted, that must end tonight.Every game now is a cup final,No more hard luck stories( Bad refs, injuries, sending offs) its all about results now, nothing else, starting with Liverpool,we MUST win tonight and get a point off Sunderland,or visa versa to stand ant chance of survival.Odds are against us as we have been woeful but its still not too late for the likes of SWP and Barton to FINALLY deliver!

As crazy/stupid as this may ound; I really have this feeling we are going to get 3 points tonight. I know on paper its "Suarez vs Hill, Gerrard vs Derry" etc etc, but I cant help but think we are well over due a bl00dy win and that we have been creating alot and surely its going to click? Liverpool arent a great side either, IMO. This one is ours for the taking, and by god do we need to take it!

Im having a few quid on a QPR and Chelski double at 19/1 so, for the first time ever, I'll be cheering on Chelski aswell

You should never underestimate the predictability of stupidity.

Fans have been saying every match since Christmas we "must win". When we don't, they go on to the next match. Yes we badly need to win but with hardly anyone else other than Blackburn winning it won't even be quite over even if we lose. Lets not over-dramatise.

We lost or drew the ones we should have won, now we will win or draw the ones we should loose. Anyone who has watched QPR for more than 3/4's of a season, knows this is they way it happens as W12.

Yes, this reminds me of the very strong feeling I had before the Everton and Bolton games that we were going to turn everything around. Fell flat on my face I did; I am completely numb now, so I am not going to predict a win tonight. I'm simply going to let others shoulder the cheerleading and maybe that way we'll get the result we need. I would be quite happy to find out that if I predict a loss, we win. That's s good formula for survival.

Totally agree Paul, if you look back over the years we have always done very well against the big teams at LR, even this season our performances versus Man Citeh, Chesh*te and Man U were good.

From '84 through to '89 we always picked up points against bigger clubs whether home or away. In the 1989 season we played 5 out of the big clubs from the Jan to May, beat Man Utd, beat Spurs, drew with Arsenal, drew away at West Ham.

In'92 we beat Leeds, Spurs and drew with Man City, Arsenal all in the latter stages.

Its the Rangers way, always has been.
22nd February away v Charlton is the 40th Anniversary of my support of QPR and my first game. Away v Chelsea 3-3 23rd Feb 1974. 40 years of pure magic!!

yup. it would be very QPR for us to get a result tonight, having failed so miserably against some of the teams we 'should have' won against lately.

This result will keep Blackburn looking over their shoulder too, last night everyone was saying what a massive gap they had created, now we've closed it again
