I do agree, QPRDave. And if the worst should happen we already have a few decent CC. players in our squad who really knows that division. Jay Bothroyd and DJ. Cambell in addition to Cisse and Zamora (premclass).
One also have to remember that West Brom, to name one club, had to take a season or two in the CC. before they became an established Prem club.
Very true Shania, WBA did take a while to find their feet, and Newcastle kept their team together a couple of seasons ago and bounced straight back up,so maybe if we could do the same who knows.
Ok... so who of the, what, 10 or so signings this season would actually stay?
The one's Hughes wants - really looking forward to next season whichever league we are in. Believe we, with the owners vision, board and management are the healthiest we have ever been.
Diakite, and Taiwo are loans so yeah can't see them becoming perms.
Onuoha, may stay if MH stays, Cisse?.. don't know.
Will Taarabt or Faurlin (when fit) stay? I realise they are not recent signings.
Think Joey might stay, not sure about Zamora.
I think we would be better without Barton. Adel has his moments, but is a class act. Barton just causes annoyance off field, and as far as im concerned has not played up to his name once this season.
If the owners are adament it won't be a problem I can see anyone they want to stay staying. The only definite departures imo will be diakite and taiwo who's loans are view to a perm and if we don't stay up I'd be surprised if we commited to their signings.
As dor the others I can't see them having a get out clause if we go down as so if MH wants to keep them in the hope of a swift return I can see that happening. If so, should the worst happen in May, I can see us walking the championship.
