No, it's not encouraging. But these are professional players, not a youth team. If you are 100 % focused on the match, you can shout your team mate, but be best friends after the game.

Taking his history into account - I doubt he is the sort of loveable character that you could just be "best friends" with after the game.Originally posted by Timmy the Doc View PostNo, it's not encouraging. But surely a leader (if that's what Barton's supposed to be) should be encouraging his team mates during the game 'unlucky, well done etc' rather than shouting them down, it's counter productive, ffs even i know that.Queens Park Rangers

Well, if I missed a sitter and captain Barton said ''unlucky, well done, better luck next time'', my reply to him would be F*ck off!Originally posted by 80sCasual View PostBut surely a leader (if that's what Barton's supposed to be) should be encouraging his team mates during the game 'unlucky, well done etc' rather than shouting them down, it's counter productive, ffs even i know that.

But in the case of Adel, he has a go at him all the time, at least he is trying to create things rather than sideways/backwards passes,Originally posted by Timmy the Doc View PostWell, if I missed a sitter and captain Barton said ''unlucky, well done, better luck next time'', my reply to him would be F*ck off!Queens Park Rangers

Haven't seen Taarabt been too upset about that? And recall Adel giving a go a couple of times at his team mates last year.Originally posted by 80sCasual View PostBut in the case of Adel, he has a go at him all the time, at least he is trying to create things rather than sideways/backwards passes,

And how would you respond when a player that plays poorly in many games, including giving the ball away constantly, even leading to opponents scoring, screams abuse at you every time you make a mistake?Originally posted by Timmy the Doc View PostWell, if I missed a sitter and captain Barton said ''unlucky, well done, better luck next time'', my reply to him would be F*ck off!
Doesn't stack up does it? Lead by example and then you have earned the right to shout at everyone.
