I had articulated earlier that you and the other nannies hand out points for silly things, which Brighton somehow morphed into racist, homophobic etc and who the hell do you think you are, associating me with that knuckle dragging **** and why do you think it is appropriate to use the word b*** c*** when replying to something I said. You really are a desperate, pathetic piece of work and should not be allowed to be a mod. The other day you were lining up with some of the knuckle draggers on here who were having a go at some minority or other. Can't remember if it was blacks or gays on that particular occasion, but it scarcely matters - they seem to hate everyone who isn't exactly like them. You were characterising the mod team and a few others as "Nick Clegg wannabes" for stopping a small minority from using racist language on here. Under the circs I think I'm justified in calling you a "Nick Griffin wannabe".

Now, can we move on?

lol i think that post sums up why you shouldnt be a moderator on this site... impartiality? dont think so when it seems anyone who has an opinion different from yours you can call a "kuckle dragger" when if a poster calls someone a "plum" they get infraction points? think you ought to do the right thing and step down as moderator forthwith due to your strong views and inability to see both sides of a debate..resorting to name calling is childish and just shows you up for what you are.

Up until now I had thought that the more entertaining posters had taken a break due to the ever increasing number of younger posters who constantly quote meaningless stats and player ratings from a childrens computer game, and post purely for the sake of it with such classics as "This" and "top post" which add absolutely nothing. They may as well post "baa". This is just a generation thing I think. I do however, think that the moderators on this thread have not covered themselves in glory. There is still a limited amount of free speech and this should be encouraged. I mentioned in jest before about having different sections, but it may not be such a bad idea.

Why do MODs have to be impartial? Monitoring a message board is hardly like being a judge in a court of law or a marraige guidance counciller. They just need to make sure things don't get out of hand or rules broken.

if these mods are going to be dishing out points and bans then it stands to reason that they themselves should be balanced and fair. For them to resort to name calling and labeling in my opinion is not acceptable...

Several reasons Paul.

He writes intelligent posts. He is always fair and balanced. He doesn't attempt to insult people who happen to disagree with him. He explains things patiently, which believe me, when it comes to responding to you, is an absolutely essential quality.

He is well liked by many posters, (probably the vast majority, although I've not carried out a survey, so can't state as fact).

And as far as I'm aware, is not constantly ribbed by some people for their views on Adel.

You seem to be the one with the problem on the make up of the moderating team. Not us. Nor the vast majority of our posters who would have no particular view anyhow, as they behave in such a way for it not to affect them.

I always defended you from those unfair digs by others in the past. You then show your true colours by blatantly showing your contempt for a small group of people who do their best, voluntarily, in order that fans such as yourself can visit and enjoy a forum to discuss one of the important things in all our lives.

Not sure how old your children are Paul, but would hope that even you can see that when they are of an age and have the inclination to partake in forums such as this, that some of us will object strongly from them being encouraged to use or even subjected to a never ending stream of insults, bigoted views and foul language, which they may well experience elsewhere.

Still, you keep on moaning mate. We all enjoy a good laugh at someone.

Do you know how many people are banned, who they are and what for ?

Do you have any idea at all, how few infraction points are ever given out.

Not a dig mate, but I think you would be very surprised at how few people are affected.

So much so, that even discussing the subject is grossly out of proportion to the issue.
