Barton as captain.

He is not a leader on the pitch what so ever in my opinion have not seen him do anything to deserve to keep the armband . Constant ball watching,Lack of decent simple passes,does not get the team going if we go a goal down and is not the type who i can see players wanting to look up to as a captain . We need someone who can push the team to the best they can be . I think Mackie is the type to do it. Mackie has the effort and passion to be a captain he deserves it yeah he may not be the best player in our team but he is one of the only players who i see as passionate and willing to give 100% on the pitch but preferably play him up front with Zamora .

As said before he's not regular. I can see Anton being handed the armband next season, but not Mackie, good player to throw in but not good enough sadly. We certainly do not need more changing in the dressing room for now, we need stability ASAP.

The player that came on scored 2 goals and wanted the team to go on and win and showed the passion i expect to see from a footballer who plays for our team as i said he may not be the best footballer but he is one of very few players in our team that look like they care at this moment in time . not the player that plays every week gets paid 80,000 and cant put a string of simple passes together and spends most of his time tweeting about random ****** .

I really don't think there are many other options at this point in the season, imagine Barton's play if he is stripped of the captaincy! As for Mackie, the guy gives everything he has but as others have mentioned, he's not certain to be in the lineup all the time! Funny how a couple of late goals as a sub can change everything, many wanted him off the roster a few weeks ago, now he's captain material!
