Capello is being very very clever with this.
He won't resign, and the FA asked him to after world cup apparently, and since then he has just been drifting along to see out his very lucrative contract. Why would he not say this? He has been employed to win matches and he is meant to have responsibility and trust to pick the team. He should be consulted, informed and have a big say in things like this - weather you agree with them or not. He should not be told to do a job and then have the tools taken away.

Where will it end? Eventually we could get in a situation where anyone who gets in any legal bother or controversy will not be able to play. That would rule out a fair few of our players and even the favourite to be the next manager.
