I'll go further and drop him. Incapable if passing, lightweight and not a goal threat. Gives ball away and they score. On tube home and freezing. adel was class.

He was awful, their first goal came from him passing to a gold shirt. I dont mind players making mistakes, but when he talks about how good he is etc and on 80 bags a week it winds me right up that he cant make a basic 5 or 10 yard pass.

He's very poor Mafia hasn't lived up to the billing that surrounds him.
It seems a game doesn't go by where he makes mistakes that if it were Derry for instance we would have posters saying not up to the prem.

Derry is worse.

Derry doesn't say he should be playing for England, or tweet disrespectfully about the manager who got us here, or earn 80 grand a week. This is why Barton merits criticism.

People are very quick to put a lot of the blame on JB but can someone tell me what Derry did today? Barton lost the ball only twice in his own half whilst Derry lost it 3 times. Unfortunately one of those times led to the goal.

Barton covered massive amounts of ground today and the last 15 minutes was instrumental in most of our chances. I just believe he needs that creative player alongside him.

He's not what I thought he would be but I'm not sure we have many options but to play him at this point and hope he gets better! In fairness he did make some decent passes in the late spell of pressure we had and just missed on a long range shot as jane mentioned!
