Worst Chelsea side in 15 years and they were in cruise control and showed us up. Was like watching a plucky non-league side giving it a go. MK Dons was the same.

The only saving grace so far is that Wigan somehow are even worse.

Not sure what you expect our shape and positional play were excellent, hence whilst there only worthwhile shot was the penalty. Whilst we ddn't create a lot we have at least 4 players to come into that side and probably a couple more and I for one am impressed by the improvement under Hughes.

Don't forget whilst we won the first game they only had 9 players and created more than they did today

Very similar to Warnocks logic, that and how great it is simply to be on the same pitch as these fantastic players. Think some people are just trying express frustration that a result was achievable.

Merieless, Romeou, Luiz, Torres, Malouda are all very average. Terry and Cech have had better days. Only Cole is genuinely a world class player in my book.

I agree we were dire. We didn't look like we wanted to win (maybe we didn't). There was no competition for 50/50 balls let alone loose balls. We lacked fire and passion. We gave the ball away all the time. More worryingly though we didn't play like a team. Mackie and SWP were individuals. The midfield never linker with Macheda and Helguson. We seemed to lack basic footballing skills. The crowd were right behind the team, but they never responded, never got going. We could have beaten them. They're Chelsea I know, but they were crap. Unfortunately for us, we were crapper.

Had we competed better, we could have got a result, no doubt about that whatsoever.

I agree, we are, where we are, solely on merit, and not because somebody is doing us a favour.
Anybody who thinks we should merely count ourselves lucky we are on the same pitch as Chelshyte, needs to have their bumps read.

If Chelsea hadn't gone down to 9 men last time, we wouldn't have won. Also, they should have had a penalty in 2nd half. Today was a massive improvement. Chelsea are top 4 team in england and one of best teams in Europe. We didn't really look as though we'd concede until the dodgy penalty. Last time we had a full squad to choose from. Today we had no adel, traore, faurlin, dj, bothroyd. We've made additions but only one could play and he's crap. We're definitely making progress and surprised that some can't see it.

Both teams defended well, thats what you get. A boring game that was decided by a dodgy decision. I thought they did a decent job against one of the better sides in the league. Obviously lacked much going forward but again we were up against a terrific defence.
