Taye Taiwo,im watching A C Milan v Lazio and the commentator has just remarked how good the left back is that they have got in to replace him and his remark was" if you have been watching some of the live games this season its a great bit of business to get rid of Taye Taiwo and replace him with this lad " !!!!!!!!!!

Up until the summer was regarded as one of the best left backs in the world. Joined Milan and didnt quite settle and only played in champions league games against the dog and duck from lithuania.

Not worried. Long list of players who went to italy and simply couldn't adjust. Thierry Henry and Bergkamp both went to italy as highly rated players, didn't fit into Serie A from day one (boot camp squad mentality, rigid, defensive football), came to England and the rest is history. That pattern Ggoes as far back as Denis Law and Jimmy Greaves.

Sparky is no mug. Have heard lots of good things about this guy & very little negative. You could say the same for 99% of players in the world.

Also not unusual for African players to not settle in Italy not exactly the most tolerant

Oh Web, not good enough for AC but good enough for us, they are on a different footballing planet.

Anyway how are you doing? Love the signings so far.

Well I though Pav was coming but with Warnock going maybe blown out, if we get Samba, Pienaar, and the Wigan boy I will be well happy with that, if you have heard of anyone else PM me, one guy on here is asking about Owen?

The good times are back, that's for sure, how is piggy?

I think he will be a revelation and all the top clubs will kick themselves for missing out. Just hope we have secured the perm option in the summer and he can't walk.

I think English football and French football suits African players much more than Italian football. They all tend to play a fast open style, similar to the prem and french football whereas Italian football is slow and defensive. Its no surprise so many top African players ply their trade in England.

Ned Zelic -- versatile as an egg.
But not versatile enough to be a footballer in any position?

It's all about the manager, how he encourages, coaches, or just simply the player takes to him and his methods, It's why you see strikers for instance who haven't scored for ages with one club move and suddenly can't miss again
