This is possibly an effort to put up the asking price. Hope it doesn't work.

Exactly , whats worrying is most of our targets aren't currently playing in the Premier League, how many games will it take to get them up to speed ?

                          Grow up.

His mum has terminal cancer, if she feels more comfortable remaining there, and he feels he should be with her, fair enough.

There's definitely an argument to say that if this is the case, the club should have been aware early on. However, if we genuinely haven't spoken to the player until now, the subject may not have been broached until now.

                            Everton are skint.
                            Under Les Ferdinand:
Luke Freeman, top assists in the league: 4million
Alex Smithies, great goalie for this club: 3,5million
Charlie Austin, 19 Premier League goals: 4million
Jack Robinson: Contract ran out, left for free
                            And many more mistakes

LES FERDINAND, IT'S TIME TO GO

I would say **** off then. Too much power given to the player these days which will force the price up at the end of jan and at least Samba is on strike and is the only one I would go after.
