  • Can you pin-point the problem?

whoever are saying our players are Championship players I say what about Barton, Ferdinand, SWP, Young and Traore? And why Swansea and Norwich who in fact most of their players are Championship players, have been better than us? Is it NW? Is it tactics? Is it confidence? Is it carelessness? Is it luck? What is it then?

Didn't they finish higher than Nowrich and Swansea last season?

team spirit and Warnock motivation got us through last season and add to that Adel who was beating players for fun and creating chances....now he doesnt even attempt to go past anyone and just passes sideways. We didnt need tactics against the majority of the Championship last season as we had better players than them..

We lost a lot of confidence and momentum in the last few weeks of last season with the FA business -- promotion came almost in the form of a sigh of relief rather than a party, and the whole thing was a damp squib. So our players, unlike the other two promoted teams, didn't hit the ground running with that momentum and feelgood factor which the others had.
Added to that, the transfer window fiasco, late takeover, giving Barton the armband before he'd even kicked a ball and freezing out our top scorer and assists man etc. meant that the team who got promoted, unlike Swansea and Norwich, who are thriving with relatively few additions, were never of the mindset that they COULD do well.
Just a couple of flurries here and there, but not enough.

Well, that's just a theory I had, anyway...
Faurlin is my hero!!! Love him!!! #########

take adel out of last season's side and we were mid to upper mid table championship side. its quite simple.

Only players today worth keeping are swp, Kenny, Ferdinand and Young

All the rest aint going to play at the level we need to keep us up

Need a good 5 players to come in

When Barton, Traore and Taarabt come back that will be a major boost and need DJ to be fully fit as his the striker we need to play upfront with HH not Bothroyd

There's obviously more than one problem but lack of finishing is the biggest! I would argue that with some clinical finishing we would be 6 to 10 points higher in the standings!

                        1. Warnock losing the dressing room
                        2. Not enough quality in the squad
                        3. Taking to long to sack warnock

You'd get no argument from me, gator.

The difference between us and Swansea and Norwich is that their managers had the whole of the summer to buy players with clarity of what their transfer budget was. What you see with Swansea and Norwich is squads that have been properly put together.

Our squad is distinctly Championship with whatever Premiership players we could get our hands on at short notice before the window shut. Look at today, Faurlin and Barton out, no cover and as a result we were run ragged in the midfield.

5 players in my book,1 centre back ,1 left back,1 natural left winger ,1 centre mid and the marquee centre forward
