QPR eye cut-price deal for Manchester City striker

QPR are ready to take a £1million gamble on forgotten star Roque Santa Cruz.

The Manchester City forward is a Mark Hughes favourite, and is currently on a season-long loan at Real Betis.

Was a Paraguayan 'wonderkid' at Bayern Munich. Lost his way massively when he got injured and there was a regime change at City. Worth a gamble and Hughes knows how to get the best out of him.

If we can get him for only £1m, i see that as a no brainer... not a gamble at all considering he cost them about £18m 2-3 years ago.

He has pedigree and Hughes knows how to use him best. his time at City was blighted by injury and he didn't get a lot of chances after that.... Sign him up!!!

Will cost more than £1m as he has 2 years left on his contract and cost them £17.
One for all.... and all for one

The figure seems low, but must have come from somewhere. It mentions they just want shot and him off the wage bill. He could be on a £5m annual salary with them, hence they'll take a cut price sale to save the wage..

For 1million and a player Mark rates highly then why not. Correct me if i'm wrong but he does score goals too? (Obviously not at Man City)
                      Under Les Ferdinand:
Luke Freeman, top assists in the league: 4million
Alex Smithies, great goalie for this club: 3,5million
Charlie Austin, 19 Premier League goals: 4million
Jack Robinson: Contract ran out, left for free
                      And many more mistakes

Agreed, and everyone's a winner as Man City want shot of him. I've no problem if Hughes wants to sign one of his favorite and trusted players
