Great Player. Average Captain. The only real leader we have is Mahon and I doubt he will start most games so I say stick with Rowlands... for now.

If he plays on a regular basis then yes, otherwise what would be the point.

Never a GREAT player but a very good player for us.
Unlikely to be a definate starter this season given the choices now available for midfield.
Not sure who would be a good leader but last season one of our problems was that we had no leader on the park.

First name on the team sheet.
Ridiculous to suggest he shouldn't be our captain. Our form went to pot last season when he got injured. Heartbeat of the team and (along with Gaz who wont be playing much) has been here the longest. Therefore of course he is the captain!
And as for his starting place..... it's him and A.N Other in CM

some are missing the point,we can;t play all attacking midfielders that would be suicidal routledge buzz taarabt are not defensively minded and maybe faurlin is not either.at home we may get away wth 1 defensive midfielder ie rowlands and away we will need 2 or we will get rolled over regularly
