Im pretty sure these players have been sounded out about the move by their respective agents before we made our approach so fingers crossed as soon as Cahill signs for Chelsea Alex will be allowed to move.

As for Onuoha see no reason why this wouldnt go through in time for NUFC game.Im sure if he wasnt interested we wouldnt waste time bidding.

The other thing he's not going to blurt out is his transfer budget in a press conference, he played down the sums quoted in the press when asked. He had to do that, even if the press were spot on or falling short.

Remember when that shyster Carson Jeung took over Birminghma. First press conference he stated Alex McLeish has 40m to spend cue for the latter to explode at the stupdity of his owner shouting his mouth off. In an instant every player he'd targeted had their transfer value double overnight the second he made an inquiry. Not that Carson Jeung had any money anyway, but that's another matter.

Would obviously prefer Samba to Onouah but he's better than both of our center backs so would be a good signing.

Sorry to say a weird thing here ... but has anyone seen Onouha's muscles? He's as they say 'tonk'
                  Under Les Ferdinand:
Luke Freeman, top assists in the league: 4million
Alex Smithies, great goalie for this club: 3,5million
Charlie Austin, 19 Premier League goals: 4million
Jack Robinson: Contract ran out, left for free
                  And many more mistakes

LES FERDINAND, IT'S TIME TO GO

Why are some people saying we can't sign Samba, Alex and Onouha?

Anton has been class this season and it would be harsh to see him on the bench but he's also missed a fair few games with injury. We definitely need two central defenders, Gabbidon will be unfortunate to miss out too but this is football and we can't afford to feel sorry for players. We need 4 good centre halfs...Alex, Samba, Ferdinand and Gabbidon is very strong and will be good enough to cover injuries/suspension in that position.

We definitely need a natural left back. I'm not keen on Bridge if i'm honest, he was awful at West Ham last season, however i would take him as we're desperately short in that position. Decent left backs are very hard to come by to be honest.

How about Christian Fuchs of FC Schalke 04, would be a fine purchase.
25 year-old Austrian is a reliable left back defender who can cross the ball superbly and hit an excellent free kick. Not sure about the cost tho.

Onuoha can play at left back - that's one of his big assets, versatility.
