I know he is predominantly an RB but also comfortable at CB. However, a few onhere have said he can also play LB? Although, personally, never be too kean on a right footed LB as he wont have that natural ability to go outside a fullback and whip a cross in.

Onuoha is definitely not a LB. Played either at CB or RB when at City and Sunderland.

Similar in the way we read a game, I'm just half a yard slower than Brett.

I've gotta rocket of a right peg though tbf.

If Onoura and Alex come in i can't see Samba also. I would expect Hughes to then have Onoura ultimately as a CB along with Alex and Anton, but Onoura would act as cover for RB also...

I expect Bridge will come in at LB and will have cover from Traore when back, who would push on.

If its onohua an Alex I reckon our back four for Newcastle might be sonething like this

                  Onohua Ferdinand Alex young

That's pretty decent my only concern is how match for would onohua and Alex be!!!!

Presume you mean "match fit" and youve also got fat thumbs (like myself)

Dont think that will be a problem tbf as they have been training and, I presume, playing reserve games. Professionals have to keep themselve fit all season round these days.

Not sure how well Young would cope at LB? Looks a pretty solid back line though tbf.

Hughs being asked at the press conferance if Samba was a target ,I think His reaction where He gave an almost embarased chuckle tells us We are very much in for Samba

We've bid for Samba and bid for Alex. Hughes couldn;t prevent in the presser that he also wants Nedum Onuhia - think Anton would have to content himself with being a back up.

Anton will be CB partner for Alex. We wont get Samba. Onouha and Young wil be LB & RB.

Thats my predictions/take on it anyway.

If we signed all 3 we would have a very decent defensive line up! A pairing of Alex and samba is as good as anything in the league and onohua on the right would be a class signing!

Mattyrangers I do have fat thumbs and they are certainly to big for this poxy iPhone I'm writing all my messages on lol! Also I only presume young can play left back as Warnock always said he could play anywhere along the back four! He could probably cover that position until Traore gets back!
