    Mass clearout?

With Hughes coming in, having his own system and players to fill it and looking at the squad (ability, age, prem experience, long term potential, not to mention being part of the old regime) there's going to be very few current players who feature in his long-term plans

It was only last week Warnock revealed contract talks on a few players HH, Paddy and Clint had been put on hold to concentrate on results. Think the board already knew then that someone else was coming in with a clean sweep for the squad.

Speculation but, swiftly departing on loan, sale or frees:

    Derry
    Hill
    Hall
    Connolly
    Bothroyd
    Orr
    Murphy
    Dyer
    Buzsaky

Days possibly numbered (gone in the summer)

    Kenny
    Mackie
    Helguson
    Cerny
    Gabbidon
    Helguson

I;ve just got this recurring nightmare that Agyemang will continue to be in our squad for all eternity. How come he is always there. Oh yes, the contract that Paladini gave him.

I agree with NikB. I'd keep Kenny & imo Helguson cannot go either
        Under Les Ferdinand:
Luke Freeman, top assists in the league: 4million
Alex Smithies, great goalie for this club: 3,5million
Charlie Austin, 19 Premier League goals: 4million
Jack Robinson: Contract ran out, left for free
        And many more mistakes

LES FERDINAND, IT'S TIME TO GO

Hasn't HH just signed a new deal, and is also the only one scoring at the moment!

Think JB and Adel may be watching thier backs as well if Hughes comes in...

really dont strike ma ast the type of manager to tolerate and crap...didnt he bomb bellamy for disagreeing with him ?!!

Adel storming off and JB constnt slgging off may be an issue to him......cant wait to see..

Kenny wont go. no matter whos in chagre, a good keeper is hard to find, and kennys just that. I know he's one of Neils favourites, but he got in the team based on form and ability, nothing else. hope so anyway

Ahh the post of a Football Manager player....

And on the game which players do you replace the first 9 with?

I like that we will ditch Derry AND Buzz with Faurlin out for the season....

We still need to field 11 players plus subs plus have reserves for injuries. By that reckoning we must be bringing in about 15 players in the transfer window. Isn't going to happen.

ok. You haven't read my post. This isn't who I think should stay or go or is past it. Hughes walked away from a Fulham side citing lack of ambition and wanting a 'big' club. They finished mid-table.

Which of the above squad players do you think he will want to keep to fuflil his amibitons in the Premier League. Derry? Fitz? Orr? Bothroyd? or the two 33 year olds Hill and Helguson etc etc. I'll even throw it open. Which of any of the above players - with the exception of Kenny - would get into the first XI of any Prem side outside the bottom three?

Can you seriously imagine Hughes accepting a job where he was told Faurlin's injured, but to be content with a centre midfield of Derry or Buzsaky alongside Barton to stay up?

To rephrase it differnetly which of the above do we think Hughes will actively want to keep, sess as a contender for a first team place. Perone might be in with a shout, I grant you that
