That's why he has got his trusted man Philip Beard running things.

Exactly. Win-win from the fans perspective - forced poor Tony to part with more akkas for players than he intended. Be so good if we finally bought the RIGHT players rather than players who might lead us buying just slightly better players who six month later are pushed into the reserves for not being good enough.

Independent has obviously heard what I've heard & confirmed as much so hope this puts people a bit at ease.

Squeaky bum time for you tonight Ric-Roc.

No, you passed on the info in good faith and others seem to be saying the same now. Papers wouldn't be being briefed on transfer targets if it wasn't pretty certain. I just ask one thing: if by some disaster it all goes #### up tomorrow, plse, plse don't tell us "things change in football..."

You know me mate. Shoot from the hip. Only facts & not idle gossip.

The fact I said hours ago I was told they had shaken on a gentlemans agreement & then to have that confirmed shows me its looking like a goer. If not what can I say the national papers with the exact same info got it wrong to. No shame in that.

As I said I'm confident mate.

                    Good stuff Ric.

I wasn't overly optimistic with Hughes but having seen his stats on Sky, to have got 44% win ratio with Blackburn over a 4 year spell is incredible considering they weren't competing. I don;t think there could've been many draws in there, either win or lose mainly.

That's what we could do with, win quite regularly and not draw loads of games.... better to win 2 and lose 3 out of 5 than go unbeaten drawing 5 games. AS long as we don;t lose to teams around us, it doesn't matter losing to top teams as they are in their own mini league, but we need to pick up wins.

Was all done yesterday. Talking targets since then.

                              Let the good times roll.
