Of course it's a sad day. A manager who worked wonders for us last season has lost his job. He had the almost universal backing of all the fans for a long time, so no good slating other fans for this, it's nothing to do with them. It just so happens that the majority appear to accept that he has made way too many mistakes and been far too stubborn and ineffective this season. And it just so happens that the board, after watching this go on for weeks on end, have decided that change is the way forward. Let's just all hope that they were right, and that the new manager does not get unwarranted stick from those who would have given NW more time.

It was the right thing to do.Under Les Ferdinand:
Luke Freeman, top assists in the league: 4million
Alex Smithies, great goalie for this club: 3,5million
Charlie Austin, 19 Premier League goals: 4million
Jack Robinson: Contract ran out, left for free
And many more mistakes
LES FERDINAND, IT'S TIME TO GO
