    Mikael Silvestre

Set to join QPR according to todays Telegraph. Free transfer from Werder Bremen. 34 years old. Think we can do better. Sorry no link.

Only a year older than Clint, wouldnt read too much into the age, he has come from a very good pedigree and spent most of his career playing European football.

However, have just found this quote from Werder Bremen's Sporting Director which tells us we should probably steer clear:

"[Silvestre] has been a disappointment at left back, his playing style is remarkably slow and he makes many mistakes"

Bertrand on loan is my choise for LB, personally.
You should never underestimate the predictability of stupidity.

        I would prefer Onuoha.

Onouha isnt an LB though? Pretty sure he hasnt ever played there? Although do correct me if I am wrong!

It has been mentioned he can play all across the back four. If so just what we need. But there again I could play all across the back four, but not very well!

He was awful at Arsenal a couple of years ago. Doubt he could cut it in the Premiership these days.

Please no, at his age not much better than what we already have. Was good for United but how long ago was that?

As Coney said, he can play all over the back four apperantly.
