  • Double over Chelsea but relegation?

    Would that soften the blow?
Read somewhere Sunderland fans saying they could except relegation as long as the beat Newcastle home and away, would doing the double over Chelsea soften the disappointment of the drop? Not for me id rather stay up and get battered at Chelsea..

No, but the thought of being relegated with Terry getting the winner in SW London is doing my head in.

No way. Staying in the PL is a MUST. Simple as.
You should never underestimate the predictability of stupidity.

Why do people even pose such ridiculous questions (no offence meant by the way).

Anyone who says yes is an idiot. Personally i'd accept a 10-0 defeat if we stay up. A season if far more than 2 games, and besides, by putting so much credence on the Chelsea matches gives them too much credit. They aren't the best in this league anymore by a long shot, so although a derby match and rivalry etc they aren't the glamour ties.

I don't think we've been right since beating Chelsea; with hindsight I think the Terry affair unsettled us somewhat. Ultimately I don't care where we get our 40 points from as long as we get them.
