Strangely, the journos on Talksport said he should definately have gone too. So, when you take a step back you will see that people do have different opinions.

.Barton deserved a red card? He swung his elbows at two players squared up to Johnson even shoulder barging him and all this before they faced up to each other. Yes he made a meal of it and the ref should've shown Johnson a red too along with the guy that fouled joey off the ball but Barton is not blameless and was given a red card as a direct result of his aggresive actions.

I had the same feeling with you atwhen he was sending off, but after watching a close replay of what happened before that, NO.

The reason he shouldn't have been sent off is if the ref or the Lino thought what he done warranted a red card, the Lino would have flagged like and, and the ref would have blown up straight away. Seems to me they listened to what everyone said ie Norwich players and then sent him off. The refereeing in our league is awful, that winker atwell has a shocker every game I've seen him in, and swar***** who we had today ain't much better . I feel so bitter about this, them Norwich divs think they are the rowlocks and the media love Paul lambert!!

To be fair, he was gonna get abuse the minute he started this thread. Everyone is still reeling from the defeat and all this thread was ever gonna do was wind people up........and I think original poster probably knew that too!

It clearly states in the rules that if you try to elbow someone that's a red card.

Try to head butt someone that's also a red card.

But of course he plays for QPR so its the refs fault!!!

perhaps we should cut out all debate then. Close the site down after a defeat and re open when we next win? I too am still hurting after that defeat think the players deserved more from the game and the officials. just don't think Barton helped us or himself with his actions. Sorry if that upsets people to the point of abuse but just the way i see it.
