This man would score goals

Hi,

I'm a new member of this site but have been looking at it for a while now.

Everyone seems to have there opinion on what strikers we should sign for next and how much they would cost, etc.

I agree that signing a youngster like Gary Hooper or Simon Cox would be good business but the person I think would be a superb signing would be David Healy.

This bloke has scored a lot of goals everywhere he has played apart for his current club Sunderland due to the fact that he never gets a game. Prolific at International level for Northern Ireland as well.

Maybe he has been mentioned as a good signing on here before but I haven't seen anyone talk about him.

Any thoughts, good or bad?

We had this discussion like a year ago and I was all for him but the majority did not like him for some reason, what about now I wonder?

Yep, I'm all for him. there was a report in the grauniad linking us to him about six months ago but apparently we didn't need himbcausewe had samuel di carmine...:horror:

What about David Nugent?.Did well for Preston and would be cheap i imagine.

Nugent would be a great signing but seems to be getting a run of games with Pompey now and playing well

for me we should sign gary mcsheffery and/or a fast goalscorer, someone like earnshaw even though everyone hates him.

mcsheffery would cost no more than £750k as he is completely out of favour at birmingham.

a fast player up front would link up well with our play and players
