BBC saying Anton out until the Norwich game aswell. Hope NW has another lined up so they come in beginning of Jan. Can't afford to play another month with both or one of the current pair.

Might lump on RVP getting that goal record now, needing 2 goals going into a game in which he will be up against Connolly & Gabbidon?!
You should never underestimate the predictability of stupidity.

Slightly rubbish article because we were never going to be able to buy them for the festive games anyway. Question is whether Spurs will have their players back by early Jan. And if they can get Cahill. This is the position where we need to spend big. No loans, no youngsters, no faded stars from Bellarus, no lower league hopefuls who might come good. With two of Samba, Bassong, Onouha and Ridgewell our whole team wd look massively strengthened - we would be solid and look a totally different team. I know fans think of strikers as the sexy signings but we wd still be in with a sporting chance of staying up with the existing attack if we had a really strong defence. But even if we got Defoe and Zamora (unlikely together I know) we wd, imo, still struggle with the existing defenders.

I thought him signing was always dependent upon Spuds getting Cahill?

Stories today are suggesting he is on his way to chavsville rather than Spuds.

Well I heard Bassong was a done deal. Here's hoping it's not bs and we do sign him.
                  Under Les Ferdinand:
Luke Freeman, top assists in the league: 4million
Alex Smithies, great goalie for this club: 3,5million
Charlie Austin, 19 Premier League goals: 4million
Jack Robinson: Contract ran out, left for free
                  And many more mistakes

LES FERDINAND, IT'S TIME TO GO

                    There's a long time between 1st & 31st January.

Plenty of time for injuries to heel or other players to be brought into their squad. Harry does LOVE a transfer window, can't think why......
