Neither is anyone else it seems is the issue we should be talking about

True, he isn't, but he's better than nothing and right now that is about what we have.

Why's he going? Because the chairman took against him it seems, tho we are not allowed to say that as, of course, its the manager making all the decisions... :tired::confused:

Plus just because you prefer the flavour of chicken pot noodle compared to a beef pot noodle, it doesn't make the chicken pot noodle quality enough to get onto Gordon Ramseys menu!
I played sunday league football today.

Clearly I was the best player on the pitch.

I scored 5 and made 7 last ditch tackles.

We lost 5-0 but the rest of my team were sh it!

Funky, now then that was cruel - v unkind to point out the slight flaw in the "lets sell dex because he is pants" argument.

It's a crazy situation and one I struggle to fully understand.

I can only imagine that this is down to Flavio Briatore.

We have sold a promising young forward who has banged in 14 plus goals for two seasons in the Championship.

At best you would keep Blackstock as a squad player players like HH, Ageyman, and Vine are all injury prone.

Blackstock works hard for the team and in my opinion losing a decent forward from the club send out the wrong messages.

I'm sure Balanta played well in a friendly game Scott but he is one for the future what we need is goals in our team.

Last season we scored a pathetic number of goals, and I sat through 11 0-0's.

It's not rocket science to work out that you dont flog the lad that can actually score.

Of course some people will struggle to see that for some absurd reason.

Why can it not be as simple as JM and JG think he wont offer the team much and are happy to let him go. Since being a pro, he has scored a goal every 3.5 games which is hardly prolific and not worth getting upset about. Its funny how a people think he is Roy of the frigging rovers.

Yeah I get that thats why the title of the thread is why are we selling Dexter Blackstock.

Simply because JG and JM were NOT here last season when Gianni Paladini and Flabio Briatore pushed our leading scorer to Forest (note: NOT Paulo Sousa...). All this b o l l a r k s about giving everyone a chance and watching each individual player is so misleading. Basically, Flabio ordered that Dex wasn't good enough, so he has to leave.

He may not be good enough for first choice, but he was (is) still the best we have up front as an out and out striker. ONLY get rid of him if better comes in. SImilarly, why get rid of Dlaney and Camp if your going to replace them with inferior players?

FFS I wouldn't want to be on this board if we did/have sold Dexter Blackstock AND he was actually bloody good. I mean we are getting so upset over such a **** poor striker, with little to no ability when the ball is on the ground. We still have time and i'm sure we will bring a striker in. Let's just hope he is a quality player but getting over excited about a good league 1 player is just not worth it. We have time so lets be patient.
